Need Hope?

Hi! Sorry I have been lacking on the posts lately. If you follow me on social media then you know my granddaddy, who my family is REALLY close to, is really sick and has been in the hospital fighting for his life. It’s difficult to be creative during times like these, so I didn’t think it would be fitting to write a post about my hair, outfit, or favorite dessert recipe.
Instead, I want to share with you the most important thing to me. It’s the only thing that is more important to me than my family, and that is my relationship with God. I’ve never shared this so point-blank on my blog before, so whether you’re a Christian, would you take a couple of minutes to read this?

This is: why I am a Christian. Why I have hope during times like these. Why I love Jesus so much. Why I talk about him so much. And HOW you can have all this too…

God loves YOU.

Yep, you reading this. No matter what you’ve done. No matter who you are. He loves you. He created you whether you know it or not. He specifically designed you to be you.

He created you to know Him. He wants you to know him personally and to enjoy His relationship.

But something went wrong. In the very beginning, the first people on this earth, Adam and Eve, disobeyed God. And in doing so, sin entered the world. Sin is anything that is disobedient and displeasing to God. When they sinned, a curse entered the world so that now, anyone who is born into this world is a sinner. In fact, everything in this world, human or not, is covered with the curse of sin. That’s why there is so much hatred and brokenness in the world.

Death was our punishment for our sin. Death was the only way to beat the curse. As sinners, we are destined to eternal death.

BUT, God had a plan. He didn’t want us to be separated from Him. He didn’t want us to be stuck under the curse.

He wants us to be redeemed and restored back to Him as His beloved children. He wants us to have eternal life.

So, he sent his perfect, sinless son Jesus to the world to save us. Jesus lived a sinless and perfect life for us. He died the death that we all deserved. And then he rose from the grave! He literally defeated death for us. He took the punishment for all mankind. AND He lifted the curse.

Jesus died in YOUR place so that you wouldn’t have to!

You still have a part to do though. He died for you and all He wants for you to do is believe. “To all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12

“If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, then you will be saved.” Romans 10:9

It’s a heart decision. And Jesus is the only way. Confess and believe. And when you really understand and believe what He did for you, you want to live the Christian life. You want to have a personal relationship with Him.

Because of what Jesus did for me, I love him more than anyone in this world. I love Him more than my husband and more than my daughter. I love Him because He created me and has given me this life. And then when I die, He has given me eternal life.

He has given me SO much, and He wants to give you the same! Just believe and accept what He did for you.

Being a Christian doesn’t mean your life is perfect. It doesn’t mean you never sin anymore. HA!! I mess up every day. But now that I am a Christian and believe what Jesus did for me, God does not count my sin. When Jesus died, he removed the curse of sin from me. God sees me as he sees Jesus his perfect son. God sees me as his perfect daughter even when I sin!!! And that motivates me to live for Him. It spurs me on to do good works. It stirs me up to share this good news with others!

There is so much I could say that I will save for another time OR if you have any questions or thoughts from this, please email me! Direct message me on Instagram.

I would love to hear from you!
